Felix's Restaurant Order

We went out for breakfast on Sunday morning at the local greasy spoon. When the waitress came to take out order Felix piped up and ordered strawberry cake and chocolate milk for himself.

Date Night

Felix's daycare is so awesome it stays open until 8 once a month for date night. We took Wibbly out to the local pub with a flower in his hair. I think he liked the full attention from two parents (and most of the pub-goers).

Rainy Morning Anecdote

Friday morning it finally was raining around here.  Felix was excited and demanded to put on his green rainboots, which unfortunately were about 2 sizes too small (and I could only locate one of them).  I explained to him that he had grown and he was just so upset yelling, MOMMY, I DO NOT WANT TO GREW!!!  As I was dealing with Felix and convincing him that his yellow boots were pretty cool, Wilbert ate half of a TTC transfer he found on the floor and then was playing gleefully in the toilet water.

Cottage Weekend

We had a lot of fun at the cottage this weekend despite the rain.  One of our favourite moments was when Felix asked if he could sleep with a toothpick.

Wilbert @ 9 months!

I can't believe that our *new* baby is 9 months old already...3/4 of a year!  He is still an absolute joy:  so happy, so cuddly, so alert, healthy, and active.

Here's a list of cool things that he has been doing lately:

-  saying "momomom" and "dadadadad" when he sees each of us.
-  saying "cttttat!"
-  walking around, holding onto the couches
-  eating EVERYTHING
-  initiating games of peek a boo
-  giving me very wet kisses on the cheek
-  giving me very wet raspberry-style kisses and laughing hysterically when I do it back to him

Felix is a Charmer

Over the past few weeks Felix has paid me some pretty sweet compliments.

1)  A few weeks ago I put on an old sundress on a hot morning.  He probably hadn't seen me in a dress for as long as he can remember and when he saw me he said, "WOW, are you a princess mommy?"

2)  This morning Stephen was home and I had the luxury of having a shower with no babies in the room.  When I came downstairs with my wet hair Felix said to me, "Your wet hair is beautiful mommy!"

3)  This evening I put on my ratty, but beloved, "We're bringing sexy BACH" RSO t-shirt and Felix said, "You look cool mommy!"
