2012

Bye 2012, it has been fun! A quick list of highlights.

- starting the year with a 2 month old and a 2 year old was challenging, fun, adorable, hilarious, and exhausting.

- going to Mexico with my 3 boys and our Manny.

- Stephen finishing work on our rental house and renting out the last suite.

- Flying with 2 boys solo to Saskatchewan and having so much fun at Grandpa's 90th birthday.

- a summer of parks, splash pads, playdates, enjoying our zoo membership, and the Carlini cottage

- Stephen breaking his wrist and enjoying some surprise time off

- our back porch!

- Sacha gets married and Felix makes an awesome Ring Bear.

- a Fall of story times at the library, gymnastics for Felix, swimming lessons for both boys

- another great trip to Saskatchewan for mom's 60th birthday.

- Karen gets married, I discover that being part of a dance crew is so fun.

- back to work and loving it

- Stephen breaks his wrist again (same wrist different bone).

- a relaxing holiday season with SNOW!

- ending the year with a 3 year old and 14 month old is even more adorable, fun, chaotic, and slightly less exhausting.

How was your sleep?

When Felix woke up on Christmas Eve morning, Stephen asked him of he had a good sleep.

"Yes, I had a good sleep! There were no monsters or sheep in my bed."

Chanukah

We have been getting a kick out of Felix's knowledge of Chanukah this weekend as he was learning about it in detail in daycare. He puts on his teacher voice and says the same words each time he begins his lecture.

"Chanukah is a very special day. Lots of Jewish people's. Then they sing songs and play dradles."

It is so so cute although we try to discourage him from yelling "Chanukah is poopy" on the streetcar.

No Smiling. No Crying.

12-12-12 Miracle

Wilbert slept through the night FINALLY last night. That is all I wanted for Christmas.

Random Little Guy Anecdotes

1). Felix keeps asking us if he can watch "Vaminos". I finally figured out he was talking about Diego.

2). When I nurse Wilbert before bedtime he gets very quiet and still and just when I think he is asleep he stops and looks at me with a big grin and starts clapping enthusiastically as if complimenting me on his meal. Then he quietly goes back to nursing.

3). Stephen and Felix were on a packed and yet silent streetcar this evening. A Canada Post worker got onto the streetcar and Stephen asked Felix what that man's job was. Felix, without hesitation said, "He's a PIRATE!!!"
