We have been enjoying an absolutely fantastic mid-April heat wave here in Saskatchewan. Felix and I have been taking regular "wogs" with BOB around the lake each day and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. There are so many interesting people who are walking around the lake during the business day. Here are some generalizations of the groups of people we see:
1) Teenagers skipping out of class. They are texting while they walk.
2) Young lovers holding hands...University students.
3) Moms and babies...lots of 'em. Usually walking in pairs. Holy baby boom in this city!
4) Seniors
5) Overweight dudes in office-wear...just taking a break?
6) Hottie hot hots...no shirts...I imagine them to be bouncers in the thriving Regina club scene.
7) People who look like their dogs.
8) The hardcore runners. They jiggle sweat all over you as they pass you.
Wogging is truly a cool sport. Sweat bands are a must:
ReplyDelete1. Use your sweat band as a gun and shoot those cell phones out of the teenagers' hands and into the lake. They'll go to class.
2. Show the young lovers how you can use a sweat band to tie their hands together forever. So they never have to let go.
3. You and Felix's matching sweat bands will make all the other moms and babies jealous, thus forging a new fashion phenomenon.
4. Your sweat bands will remind the seniors of their youth. Make a zoomer smile.
5. Embroider sports teams' logos onto your sweat bands or demonstrate how you can use a sweat band as a cozy for a hot coffee cup. Sell them to the overweight dudes in office wear. Make lots of money on the side.
6. Impress the hottie hot hots with your sporty attire. They'll invite you to their parties and you can get in without having to wait in line. Like a rockstar.
7. When you want to laugh out loud at the people who look like their dogs, you can gag yourself before you are rude.
8. Use your sweat bands to wipe off other people's sweat from your face.
