This evening after Wilbert was sleeping, I took Felix for a little neighbourhood walk. We got a tip from our neighbour that there was a firetruck and an ambulance parked up the street so we headed that way. When we got to the firetruck the fireman sitting inside noticed us and turned on the lights for us. We started chatting him up and he let Felix sit inside. Felix asked to see the hose and so the fireman took it out and let Felix hold the end. How cool is that?
A few weeks ago we were walking down King Street and a police officer who was slowly driving by pulled over to let Felix sit in the car and turn on the lights. In fact, every time we see police they wave at Felix and chat. He even got to meet and chat to one of the horseback cops one day with Stephen.
