It's hard to believe that it is 4 days until EDD (Estimated Due Date), October 29. Last night we had the wonderful news that one of our old neighbours had their baby boy (he was due mid-November)...and I'm delighted, but I must say envious!!
It's not like this pregnancy has been difficult or anything, I'm just SO EXCITED. Now that I'm done work I can hardly wait to meet the baby! I've promised Stephen that I would cross my legs until Sunday when he will be done the house. Yes, I'm uncomfortable and feeling like a beached whale and have to pee every 2 minutes...this is another active little Boodlini who kicks me for a couple hours every night and then has about 30 minutes of hiccups to follow up. I'm trying my best to enjoy and remember every last little kick.
Felix's Great-grandmother (May) gave him this extremely loud and obnoxious bike horn shaped like a dinosaur that he likes to squeeze and laugh when it makes me jump...it also makes Baldy jump in my belly so I know it has good hearing.
Felix has been climbing into the basinette (as have the cats) to check things out. This morning he kept pointing at it and telling me to lie down in it. I'd act shocked and say "NO, Mommy too big, mommy not baby!" and he'd chuckle hysterically. Our little guy is becoming a joker. Yesterday morning he told me that his cereal was "HOT, OUCH"...I would pretend to act concerned (even though I had given him cold cheerios) and then he would say "NOOoooooo!!!!!" and laugh and laugh. What a little nut!
I stopped by the mall this morning to buy a few baby necessities and had to stop and buy a "coming home" outfit for Baldy. Just a new fresh little sleeper with a matching hat, but I got a little teary because I did the same thing for Felix and the realness of this big event is setting in! Did I mention I CAN'T WAIT?
Anyway, it's hard to know what the next few weeks will bring or when Baldy's birthday will be, but we are almost ready and I'm so excited to continue our adventures as a family of 4!!
